Webdagene, a Norwegian web conference had been hosted by Netlife for 15 years, however the industry and market had changed without the conference following, the concept was outdated. It was time to rethink the future of Webdagene, by reinventing the conference with a new strategic direction.
The result was Y Oslo. Y comes from Youngstorget in Oslo, where the conference takes place. An area with a long tradition as a political and social gathering point where people come together to share beliefs, demonstrate, speak and unite. A behavior not far from the conference vision: To be a driving force for the design industry to share knowledge and opinions. This inspired the overall brand concept: Playful demonstration. The concept pays tribute to the simple, primitive and unrefined, but at the same time clear, bold and powerful expression that we recognize from demonstrations.
Working with a holistic brand experience, Y Oslo seeks the bold, the powerful and the forward thinking in all they do, from speakers, to design, to food, environmental impact and sponsors.
