The purpose of Blindeforbundet is to ensure that everyone can live active and independent lives regardless of sight problems. But their brand and digital experience had become outdated, and membership stagnated. A shift had to be done to attract new members, reach a wider audience, but also optimize the design and functionality for the target group.
But how to create a website that is functional but also has a strong brand identity, which should appeal and work for everyone – from those with normal vision to the severely impaired and blind? Insight into the target group’s challenges visually and functionally formed the concept; the guiding help. The concept set the premises for the work. Colors, shapes, photo, design elements, typography and functionality is especially designed for the target group to guide them trough the visual identity.
